Day 1: Vancouver – Williams Lake
Welcome Aboard! Relax in our luxury restroom-equipped motorcoach as our spectacular journey starts on the scenic Trans-Canada Highway through the Fraser Valley on to Cache Creek. We continue through the Caribou Plain to Williams Lake for the overnight stay.

Day 2: Williams Lake - Smithers
We travel west on the Yellowhead Highway through Vanderhoof and Burns Lake to Smithers for our overnight stay. Join your Tour Director and fellow passengers this evening for a Pacific Gold Welcome Get Acquainted Dinner.

Day 3: Smithers – Prince Rupert
After an included breakfast, we continue our cultural journey on the Yellowhead Highway. Approaching the Coast Mountains, we view the fish ladders at Moricetown Canyon and the narrow Hagwilget Gorge. At Hazelton we tour the unusual ‘Ksan Indian Village, where we watch carvers and aboriginal entertainers, learn the legends behind totems and see traditional longhouses. We continue our drive, following the broad Skeena River through the mountains to tidewater at Prince Rupert. We spend the night in the coastal city of Prince Rupert.

Day 4 - Day 8: Prince Rupert – Skidegate / Queen Charlotte Islands
After a leisurely included breakfast, we board the Queen of Prince Rupert for a comfortable ride across Hecate Strait. The crossing will take approximately six hours. Welcome to the Queen Charlotte Islands! A local guide will accompany us during our stay in the Queen Charlottes, and provide transportation by school bus. We discover the rich and dynamic culture of the Haida nation who lives in the Queen Charlotte Islands, known as Haida Gwaii, and explore these misty, moody, hauntingly beautiful “islands of the people”. During our four-night stay in the Queen Charlottes, we start each morning with an included breakfast before starting on the day’s adventure. We tour the world-class Queen Charlotte Museum where we see monumental Haida totems, contemporary Haida art and argillite carvings. We see the modern Haida village at Skidegate and visit the Haida Longhouse. During the drive along the east coast of Graham Island we see the spectacular stretch of the sandy north beach and the incredible mossy rainforest along the old dunes. We stop at the Tlell sand dunes, Balance Rock, St. Mary’s Spring and Agate Beach. A picnic lunch is included at Jungle Beach. We pass through the little village of Port Clements with a stop at the museum that specializes in the pioneer history of the Islands. A further drive north brings us to Massett. The Indian Village of Haida has several craft shops with silver, wood and argillite carvings and we tour the B.C. Packers fish processing plant. (Subject to availability.) We visit the Ed Jones Haida Museum, which is located in the old schoolhouse on the north side of Old Massett, to shop for Haida artwork. We drive along the North Beach of Graham Island to Naikoon Provincial Park where we admire the ocean’s power at The Blowhole. The top of Tow Hill offers a magnificent view of the coast, and the shoreline has great beachcombing. We take a walk through a forest of huge spruce and cedar trees to see the famous Golden Spruce on the banks of the Yakoun River and the remains of a Haida dugout canoe. From Juskatla, we follow logging roads across the mountains to see the wild and remote west coast of Graham Island at Rennell Sound. These lovely beaches are exposed to the open Pacific and you never know what treasures might be found. A picnic lunch is provided at Rennell Sound. A short ferry ride from Skidegate takes us to Alliford Bay on Moresby Island, just 15 km south of Sandspit. We sightsee on Moresby Island to Siwash Rock and Gray Bay Beach. We return to Queen Charlotte at the end of the day.

Day 9: Queen Charlotte Islands – Prince Rupert
Enjoy an included breakfast. Today we say “Farewell” to the beautiful Queen Charlottes and their warm and friendly people as we journey back to the mainland aboard BC Ferries, arriving in Prince Rupert in the late afternoon. Enjoy a free evening at the full service hotel, using the hotel amenities to relax or do as you please.

Day 10: Prince Rupert – Prince George
After an included breakfast, our travel follows the Skeen River and Coast Mountains to Terrace on the Yellowhead Highway. We continue through the historic Indian villages of Hazelton and Moricetown, the oldest settlement in the Bulkley Valley. Then on to Smithers, reminiscent of a Swiss village nestled in the rugged mountains for our lunch stop. Our destination for the night is Prince George. Join your Tour Director and fellow passengers this evening for a Farewell Dinner.

Day 11: Prince George – Okanagan Lake
After an included breakfast, we head south through Quesnel and Williams Lake to Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops

Day 10: Okanagan Lake - Vancouver
Enjoy the magnificent scenery of the drive over the Connector and Coquihalla Highways to destinations in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
