Day 1: Calgary – Grande Prairie
Your departure leaves the crowds at home today as you journey north, via Edmonton, stopping at Rochfort Bridge Trading Post, and on to Grande Prairie, the fastest growing city in Alberta.

Day 2: Grande Prairie – Fort Nelson (Alaska Highway)
Continuing on to Dawson Creek, you pass through the great northern prairie region of Alberta. While in Dawson Creek stop at the Mile ‘O’ Post. Continue northwest on the historic Alaska Highway as you drive through British Columbia’s picturesque Peace Country with its rich abundance of natural resources of electrical power, agricultural land, oil, gas and forestry.

Day 3: Fort Nelson – Watson Lake (Alaska Highway)
As you travel to the ‘Gateway to the Yukon’, enjoy a journey through peaceful valleys and alpine meadows. Make a brief stop at Liard Hot Springs, Canada’s most spectacular natural hot springs. Following a stop at the “World Famous Sign Post Forest”, tour the Northern Lights Centre to experience the myths, folklore and science of the northern lights.

Day 4: Watson Lake - Whitehorse
Today cross the Nisutlin Bay Bridge in Teslin, Yukon, the longest bridge along the Alaska Highway. Enjoy the reflections of the glorious mountain ranges in the crystal clear lakes that dot the area en route to Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon and a city of character, color and contrasts. Enjoy the infamous “Frantic Follies” this evening.

Day 5: Whitehorse
The morning, you are treated to a city tour of Whitehorse, which includes Miles Canyon, the Fish Ladder, the Transportation Museum and the SS Klondike National Historic Site. You are then welcomed to the Attractions Canada Award Winner, the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre, for a guided prehistoric journey to the ancient sub-continent of Beringia. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the City of Whitehorse. Tonight whoop it up at the famous Whitehorse Frantic Follies!

Day 6: Whitehorse – Dawson City
As you travel north on the Klondike Highway, pass Lake Laberge, made famous by Robert Service’s poem, “The Cremation of Sam McGee”. Stop to view the Carmacks Interpretive River Front Boardwalk and the beautiful Five Finger Rapids. See and taste the world’s largest cinnamon bun at Braeburn, before arriving in Dawson City. This evening visit the infamous Diamond Tooth Gertie’s Gambling Hall.

Day 7: Dawson City
You can’t help but relive the return to the fame and fortune of 1897 on the streets of Dawson City. This morning you’ll visit an actual Gold Mining Dredge and try panning for gold. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy the boardwalk of Dawson City. Tonight view “The Ghosts of Dawson City” at the Garter Girl Theatre where popular characters of 1898 come to life in a musical comedy.

Day 8: Dawson City - Tok
Today, it is “North to Alaska” as you make the trek over the “Top of the World Highway”. Stop for lunch at the tiny town of Chicken and on to Tok, the state’s official sled dog capital.

Day 9: Tok - Fairbanks
You’ll want to have your postcards ready to mail as you stop at North Pole, Alaska and “Santa Claus House”, before arriving in Fairbanks, the hub city of Alaska’s heartland. Cruise the Chena and Tanana Rivers aboard the sternwheeler Riverboat Discovery, visiting the Chena Indian Village where native Alaskan guides will take you on a guided tour of an authentic Athabascan Indian village. Spend this evening at the renowned Alaskaland (recently renamed Pioneer Park) for a salmon bake dinner followed by a fantastic musical review based on the rich and colorful history of Alaska at the Palace Theatre and Saloon.

Day 10: Fairbanks – Denali National Park
Incredible vistas rise to meet you on your journey through the town of Nenana to Denali National Park. Have your camera ready this afternoon as you head deep into the Park, where big game animals abound, on a true wildlife safari, the “Tundra Wildlife Tour”.

Day 11: Denali National Park - Anchorage
Whether you choose the option of “riding the rails” on the famous Alaska Railroad, or the motorcoach trip to Anchorage today; the panoramic views of the famed Alaska Ranges to the south and North America’s highest peak, Mt. McKinley will delight you.

Day 12: Anchorage
Today visit Anchorage and explore the past at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Enjoy dinner inside a Goldmine at the Sourdough Mining Company! While in Anchorage, cruise the calm, protected waters of Prince William Sound.

Day 13: Anchorage – Beaver Creek
It will be hard to say goodbye to Anchorage today, but depart you must because the journey through beautiful Matanuska Valley awaits! The valley’s farms show lush and aromatic growth thriving on the 24 hours of summer sunlight. Wind your way to Gakona Junction, climbing to Mentasta Summit before descending to rejoin the Alaska Highway at the town of Tok. Then travel on through beautiful scenic forests and meadows in bloom. Beaver Creek hosts you tonight at the Rendezvous Dinner Theatre.

Day 14: Beaver Creek - Whitehorse
Today depart Beaver Creek for historic Burwash Landing and travel alongside the magnificent St. Elias Range and Kluane Lake. En route, make a stop at Klukshu Village and Kluane Wilderness Village. A visit will be made at Sheep Mountain Visitor Centre near Haines Junction – the home of the Dall sheep. Arrive in Whitehorse to settle in for a two night stay.

Day 15: Whitehorse – Skagway - Whitehorse
Ride the historic White Pass & Yukon Railroad today and see some of the most panoramic views of the terrain over White Pass Summit. The wooden sidewalks of Skagway wait to reveal the town’s gold rush past. You’ll fall in love with this quaint port village. At the end of a day in the fresh seaside air, you’ll welcome the comfortable seats of your motorcoach to wind your way back to Whitehorse. Tonight enjoy a Farewell to the Yukon dinner at the hotel.

Day 16: Whitehorse – Dease Lake (Cassiar Highway)
Travel the Nisutlin Bay Bridge again as you return east this morning, then head south into British Columbia and travel the famous “Stewart-Cassiar Highway”. See some of the most inspiring beauty and abundant wildlife on this continent. The communities on this highway provide a contrast of cultures, old and new, and exposure to fascinating natural wonders. You will make a stop at Jade City, a world famous jade mine and gift store before arriving in Dease Lake, the ‘Jade Capital of the World’.

Day 17: Dease Lake - Stewart
This morning continue your southern journey on the Stewart-Cassiar Highway passing through Mount Edziza Park and the Glaciers en route to Stewart .

Day 18: Stewart - Prince George
As you leave Stewart this morning, travel through one of the most scenic drives in North America, through towering coastal mountains, icefields and hanging glaciers where waterfalls tumble down the beautiful mountainsides. Continue through Burns Lake andFraser Lake, following the beautiful rivers and valleys of north central British Columbia to Prince George.

Day 19: Prince George - Jasper
Today head toward the great Canadian Rocky Mountains, passing through Mount Robson on your way to the town of Jasper in Jasper National Park. Upon arrival in Jasper, enjoy leisure time in the townsite or take an optional tram ride up Whistler Mountain or a gentle raft ride down the Athabasca River.

Day 20: Jasper – Icefield Parkway - Banff
Journey south today through the Icefields Parkway, an endless succession of scenic wonders. You will stop at the dramatic Athabasca Falls, before arriving at the Columbia Icefields. Visit the Interpretive Centre or take an optional Snocoach ride across the Icefields. Continue south and arrive at the unforgettable Peyto Lake. En route to Banff we visit Lake Louise, one of the most picturesque spots in the world. This evening, enjoy the award winning “Oh Canada Eh?” Dinner Show, a musical celebration of Canada.

Day 21: Banff - Calgary
This morning, enjoy a guided tour of the Banff region including Bow Falls and the Cascade Gardens. Return to Calgary or Edmonton for your. Return flight home.
