Day 1: Calgary
Pick up your rental car and check in at deluxe Fairmont Palliser Hotel. Calgary is nestled beside the Rocky Mountain foothills and famous for the "Calgary Stampede" Rodeo. Day 2: Calgary - Edmonton
The highway to Edmonton follows an old wagon trail dotted with historic sights and attractions. Edmonton’s main attraction is the West Edmonton Shopping Mall - featuring more than 800 shops and fun & water theme parks. Overnight: Sutton Place Hotel, Delta Hotel.
Day 3: Edmonton - Jasper
Drive on to Jasper, located admist the most beautiful wilderness area of the Rocky Mountains. Visit Maligne Canyon and the glacier-fed Maligne Lake. Tip: cruise to Spirit Island. The top of Whistlers Mountain promises the best views of the rockies. Overnight: Pyramid Lake Lodge, Jasper Chalet or similar.
Day 4: Jasper – Yoho Natl Park / Lake louise
One of the world's most scenic mountain highways - the Icefields Parkway - offers picture perfect mountain views and outstanding wildlife viewing. Visit the famous Chateau Lake Louise. Overnight: Emerald Lake Lodge within Yoho National Park or Chateau Lake Louise.
Day 5: Yoho Nat’l Park - Banff
Stopover at Johnstone Canyon for one of the most popular hikes in the Canadian Rockies. For two nights you stay at the deluxe Rimrock Resort Hotel. As part of the UNESCO Rocky Mountain Park Heritage Site - Banff offers many attractions. Overnight: Rimrock Resort, Buffalo Lodge or Similar.
Day 6: Banff National Park
Spend your day to visit the sights including Upper Hot Springs, Bow Falls and the Hoodoos or play a round of golf in front of the Banff Springs Hotel. Take the Gondola to the Top of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy the amazing mountain scenery. Overnight: Rimrock Resort, Buffalo Lodge or Similar.
Day 7: Banff - Calgary
Travel on to Canmore and Kananaskis Country – home of the 1988’s Winter Olympics. You have plenty of time for more sightseeing before it is time to leave the Rocky Mountains. Take the Trans-Canada-Highway back to Calgary. Return your rental car. End of Tour. |
