Day 1:
Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver, pick up your rental car and check in at your downton hotel location. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and nestled alongside the Coast Mountain Range, the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver is home to spectacular natural scenery and many sightseeing attractions.
Day 2: Vancouver – Manning Park
Take the Trans-Canada-Highway #1 to Hope. Manning Park is located in the heart of the Cascade Mountains and offers a variety of outdoor activities such as: hiking, canoeing, mountain biking and birding. Overnight at the resort.
Day 3: Manning Park – Nelson
The small arts community with over 350 heritage buildings is right in the middle of the Kootenay region and on the shores of beautiful Kootenay Lake. From July – September you can get a sense of Nelson’s festive spirit when local shops turning into art galleries displaying the work of over 70 different artists. Overnight.
Day 4: Nelson
Another day in Nelson: Explore Kootenay Lake with a sailboat, play a round of golf, hike around Kokanee Creek Provincial Park with its sandy beaches some boating or try some mountain biking. Excellent restaurants are providing great dinner choices in the evening.
Day 5: Kimberley
Kimberley is a unique “Bavarian Style City within the Rockies” and located in the southeastern corner of BC. The heart of Kimberley is called “The Platzl” with unique shops, restaurants and the largest Cuckoo Clock in Canada. The area provides some outstanding golf courts. Overnight.
Day 6: Kootenay National Park
From glacier-clad peaks along the Continental Divide to the dry grassy slopes of the Columbia Valley, where even cactus grows, Kootenay National Park is an area rich in variety. Spend the day hiking in the park or visit the hot springs pools near Radium Hot Springs.
Day 7: Banff National Park
Travel on the Banff-Windermere Highway 95 km to Banff National Park. Stopover at Johnstone Canyon who provides one of the most popular hiking trails within the Canadian Rockies. As part of the UNESCO Rocky Mountain Park, Banff National Park offers spectacular mountain scenery and many natural attractions. Visit today the Upper Hot Springs, Cave & Basin Centre, Bow Falls and the Hoodoos or play a round of golf in front of the majestic Banff Springs Hotel. Well worth is the gondola ride to the Top of Sulphur Mountain for an amazing mountain view.
Day 8: Banff - Jasper
Travel on one the worlds most scenic mountain highways – the Icefield Parkway toward Jasper. Jasper National Park is located admist the most beautiful wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. Visit Maligne Canyon and glacier-fed Maligne Lake. From here take a cruise to Spirit Island. The top of Whistlers Mountain promises the best views of the rockies.
Day 9: Jasper National Park

Day 10: Jasper – Prince George
On your way to Prince George you will pass Mt. Robson, the tallest mountain of the Canadian Rockies and the origin of the mighty Fraser River. Watch for abundant wildlife along the road. Continue on the Yellowhead Highway to Prince George.
Day 11: Prince George – Smithers
Follow the Yellowhead Highway through exelent fishing areas along countless lakes. Small communities passing by before you reach the Coast Mountains and Smithers.
Day 12: Smithers – Prince Rupert
Follow the Yellowhead Highway and stop at the Gitksan Native Village of 'Ksan, adjacent to the town of Old Hazelton with a large totem pole collection. From here you can take a detour to Fort St. James, an authentic 1896 Hudson's Bay Company fur trading post. You will reach Prince Rupert in the late afternoon.
Day 13: Inside Passage Cruise
Take an unforgettable day cruise aboard the ferry through the majestic Inside Passage. Aside from a short stretch of open ocean the route leads through a narrow maze of channels, passes, and reaches. Keep your eyes peeled for whales, purpoises and bald eagles. Arrive in Port Hardy later in the evening.
Day 14: Campbell River
Leave Port Hardy and travel to Campbell River – also known as the salmon fishing capital of BC. Short ferry trip to Quadra Island. You overnight at a native operated lodge overlooking the Inlet. Visit the Cape Mudge Lighthouse, one of the many art galleries and beautiful Rebecca Spit.
Day 15: Campbell River - Tofino
Drive south towards Parksville, then cross the Island to the West Coast. Arrive at Ucluelet/Tofino and check in at your hotel.
Day 16: Tofino
Tofino and Ucluelet are two gems and gateway to one of British Columbia's most prized nature reserves, Pacific Rim National Park. Experience the pristine wilderness first hand by walking along Long Beach or on the Wild Pacific Trail.
Day 17: Tofino
The Pacific Rim offers a variety of outdoor activities. Whale watching, hiking, surfing, hot springs excursions and beach combing just to name a few. Take a stroll along the beach watching the sunset and enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the famous restaurants.
Day 18: Tofino - Victoria
Leave Pacific Rim and drive to the southern tip of Vancouver Island. The "Garden City" Victoria sparkles in one of Canada's mildest climates and still shows it's unique British character. Stroll along Inner Harbour where the impressive Empress Hotel is presiding.
Day 19: Victoria
Victoria boasts a fascinating history and many famous landmarks like the Empress Hotel, Chinatown, Parlament Building, Helmcken House or the Antique Row. Surrounded by ocean waters, Victoria is also well known for excellent whale watching trips. You may consider taking also a side trip to the Saanich Peninsula.
Day 20: Victoria - Vancouver
Stopver at famous Butchart Gardens on your way to the ferry terminal in Swartz Bay. The Gardens have several theme areas including: Japanese Garden, Rose Garden and a Sunken Garden. Take the ferry from Swartz Bay to Vancouver. Arrive during late afternoon.
Day 21: Vancouver
Time for last minute shopping or sightseeing in beautiful Vancouver. Explore the city: Stanley Park, Granville island, Chinatown or Robson Street. Return your rental car at the airport. End of tour.
